MacLachlan College, an independent co-educational institution in Oakville, Ontario, is hiring a part-time Student Early Childhood Educator for the Aftercare component of our Extended Hours Program. In this role, you will work alongside Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) to supervise and engage students during aftercare hours. This position offers opportunities to foster positive social interactions and assist with age-appropriate activities while ensuring a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support RECEs in delivering the Aftercare Program




• Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities
• Assist in age-appropriate games and crafts
• Promote positive student behaviour and peer relationships
• Maintain a safe and inclusive setting
Requirements:
• Experience working with children is an asset
• Basic understanding of child development
• Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act
• First Aid and CPR certification are preferred
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in children
