Become a Labourer for Parks Maintenance with the Town of Oakville and ensure the cleanliness and safety of community spaces. This full time, temporary position focuses on hands-on outdoor work.
The Town of Oakville is seeking candidates for up to three temporary positions lasting about two months. As a Labourer, you will assist in various maintenance tasks including debris collection and equipment upkeep. Working hours will vary, including weekdays and potentially weekends to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities: • Support routine boat lifting operations in harbours • Complete litter pick-up and inspections of facilities • Prepare ground areas, including raking and sod laying • Maintain vehicles and equipment through regular checks • Follow prescribed safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements: • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience • Hold a valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License • Understanding of safety laws and traffic regulations • Experience with maintenance equipment preferred • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
