The Cloud & AI Capability Leader is a senior partner-level leadership and ownership role accountable for setting the strategy, standards, go-to-market direction and enablement model for our client's Cloud & AI capability. The role brings together cloud architecture, data platforms, modern work and Business AI, AI infrastructure, agent and application innovation, AI engineering, and related integration capabilities into a coherent, scalable national portfolio.
Operating across domains, the leader translates market demand, Microsoft platform direction and client priorities into a multi-year capability roadmap. The role strengthens technical and commercial coherence, accelerates reusable offerings and intellectual property, and enables Domain Leaders and Engagement Partners to deliver differentiated client outcomes with consistent quality, leverage and risk discipline.
Key Accountabilities
Capability Strategy, Roadmap & Investment
- Own and execute the multi-year Cloud & AI capability strategy and roadmap, aligned with Digital Solutions and firm priorities.
- Translate client demand, market signals and platform evolution into clear capability priorities, investment cases and sequencing decisions.
- Drive integration across Cloud & AI domains and with AI Business Solutions, Security, Delivery Excellence and other practice groups.
- Sponsor capability build-out, balancing near-term commercial needs with long-term differentiation, sustainability and firm value.
Go-to-Market, Market Presence & Growth Enablement
- Lead the integrated Cloud & AI go-to-market motion, including positioning, sales enablement, thought leadership and priority campaigns.
- Enable Domain Leaders and Engagement Partners with compelling narratives, qualification guidance, reusable pursuit assets and specialist support.
- Act as an executive-level trusted advisor in strategic pursuits and client conversations where cross-domain Cloud & AI leadership is required.
- Work with the Microsoft Platform Strategy Lead and other alliance leaders to align offerings with partner priorities, co-sell motions, designations and marketplace opportunities.
Standards, Architecture & Offering Coherence
- Establish practice-wide capability standards, guardrails and quality expectations in partnership with the Chief Architect, Security and Delivery Excellence.
- Ensure domain offerings use coherent reference architectures, solution patterns and delivery methods that are reusable, defensible and scalable.
- Promote reuse of intellectual property, accelerators, automation and global delivery practices to improve speed, consistency and leverage.
- Provide a practice-wide escalation point for recurring technical, commercial, quality or delivery issues that span multiple domains.
Domain Enablement & Operating Model Leadership
- Provide direction and enablement to Cloud & AI Domain Leaders while preserving their accountability for domain offerings, playbooks, teams and delivery results.
- Create effective forums and mechanisms for cross-domain planning, dependency management, standards adoption and shared learning.
- Clarify decision rights and hand-offs among Capability Leaders, Domain Leaders, Engagement Partners, the Chief Architect and Delivery Excellence.
- Monitor capability health and service quality across domains, addressing systemic issues and supporting corrective action where needed.
Business Performance & Portfolio Stewardship
- Monitor capability-wide revenue, pipeline, demand, realization, utilization, leverage and investment performance, working through accountable domain and engagement leaders.
- Shape portfolio choices and capacity priorities using commercial, client, talent and delivery insights.
- Support disciplined opportunity progression, pricing, risk and deal governance for material cross-domain pursuits.
- Champion scalable delivery models and an appropriate mix of onshore, nearshore, offshore, managed and Foundry-enabled delivery.
People, Talent & Community Leadership
- Build a connected Cloud & AI leadership community and foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, innovation, quality and collaboration.
- Sponsor capability-wide workforce planning, critical skill development, certifications, communities of practice and succession pipelines.
- Mentor and sponsor Domain Leaders,
future Partners and senior technical leaders across Cloud & AI.
- Promote mobility and collaboration across domains so talent can be deployed against the highest-value client and capability priorities.
Firm Leadership, Risk & Integration
- Contribute actively to firm-wide strategy, operating model evolution and investment decisions.
- Model the Partner owner mindset, skilled standards, risk discipline and One Firm behaviours.
- Collaborate with Consulting, Enterprise IT, Innovation, Marketing, Talent and other functions to advance responsible and integrated Cloud & AI growth.
- Balance growth and innovation with privacy, security, responsible AI, quality and long-term reputational considerations
Required Capabilities & Experience
Professional Experience
- Senior leadership experience in consulting, technology or professional services, with meaningful accountability for cloud, data, AI, modern work or application innovation capabilities.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling multi-domain capabilities, portfolios, teams or service lines in a complex matrix organization.
- Strong record in go-to-market leadership, strategic pursuits, executive client advisory and commercial decision-making.
- Experience establishing technical and delivery standards, operating mechanisms and reusable offerings across distributed teams.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft cloud and AI ecosystem and the commercial dynamics of strategic technology alliances.
- Experience leading through ambiguity, rapid technology change and competing stakeholder priorities.
