In this vital position, the Supported Child Development Worker will engage with the community while providing inclusive childcare services. Under the direction of the snc’c’amala?tn Early Childhood Education Centre Manager, you will assist in planning activities designed for special needs children and facilitate communication with parents, enhancing their involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement individualized support programs
• Ensure a secure and nurturing environment for all interactions
• Keep accurate records of children and their needs
• Work collaboratively with parents and specialists
• Participate in meetings and workshops for parent education
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 19
• Preference for Early Childhood Education certification
• Current First Aid certification mandatory
• Experience with young children and First Nations communities an asset
• Criminal records check with vulnerable sector clearance required
