Job Title: Drapery Tailor

Location: North York, ON

Pay: $23–$26/hour (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full time | In Person

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities
Measure, cut, sew, and finish custom draperies, sheers, valances, Roman shades, and other window treatments.
Operate industrial sewing machines, domestic machines, and sergers/overlock machines.
Create custom pleats, hems, headings, linings, blackout/interlining, and thermal treatments.
Sew trims, banding, embellishments, and decorative details.
Match patterned and directional fabrics accurately.
Read work orders, measurements, drawings, and fabrication specifications.
Calculate fabric yardage and material requirements.
Inspect finished products and make adjustments or repairs as required.
Work with designers, project managers, and installation teams to meet deadlines.




Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work area.

Requirements
Experience as a Drapery Tailor, Tailor, or similar role.
Solid knowledge of drapery styles, sewing techniques, and fabrication standards.
Proficiency with industrial sewing equipment and hand-finishing.
Ability to accurately read measurements, work orders, and design specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and quality.
Ability to handle large fabric rolls and finished panels.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
