Role OverviewSenior DevOps Engineer – AI Engineering Team at Intact Data Lab, Toronto office. This role focuses on building and maintaining cloud‑based AI pipelines, ensuring reliable infrastructure, and collaborating with data and software teams.Responsibilities- Assist in managing and maintaining the AI platform.- Utilize AWS services (S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, Data Backup, AWS Backup) to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure.- Support the development team on operational aspects of the AI and data pipeline.- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.- Work with Databricks and Snowflake to manage and analyze large datasets.- Create and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.- Collaborate with teams to improve automation and support current initiatives.- Contribute to proof‑of‑concept projects to validate new ideas.- Assist in root‑cause analysis of production incidents and develop action plans.- Recommend technologies and tools for integration across product stacks.- Interpret security policies and ensure platform designs follow security guidelines.- Promote secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle.- Implement observability, best practices, and KPIs in solutions.- Help implement high‑availability solutions, disaster recovery, and data backups.- Participate in problem‑management activities to identify improvements.- Support frequent and seamless deployments with software teams.Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.- 5–8 years of experience in a DevOps role.- 5 years of experience in an AWS cloud environment with in‑depth knowledge of S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, Data Backup, and AWS Backup.- Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, ELK, GitHub, GitHub Actions,
and Jenkins.- Proficiency in Python.- Experience with Databricks and Snowflake.- Experience in a Big Data context is a significant asset.- Experience in security or SecOps is a significant asset.- Knowledge of the machine‑learning cycle is an asset.- Strong communication, collaboration, and customer‑orientation skills.- Creative, innovative, and strong problem‑solving abilities.- Adaptable, flexible, and detail‑oriented in a fast‑paced environment.- Self‑starter who can drive initiatives from start to finish.- For Quebec candidates: bilingualism required due to regular interaction with English‑speaking colleagues.- Eligible to work in Canada; no Canadian work experience required.Benefits & Compensation- Salary range (35‑hour workweek): 101,800 – 124,400 CAD.- Annual bonus target: 12% of base salary, with potential payout up to double the target.- Share plan & other savings: up to 12% of salary or more (share purchase plan with Intact matching 50% of net shares).- Flexible work arrangements and hybrid work model.- Possibility to purchase up to 5 extra days off per year.- Benefits supporting physical and mental wellbeing, including telemedicine and wellness account.- Pension offerings provide flexibility and long‑term security.Equal Opportunity & AccessibilityIntact is an equal‑prospect employer.
