Our client in Markham is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist. They are seeking someone who has experience in a Supply Chain, Purchasing or Logistics role while being employed with an aerospace, automotive, offroad or similar manufacturing company.

Location: Markham, Ontario. 100% On Site

Position Type: Full time, Permanent

Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000 per year

Responsibilities

- Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for materials, hardware, tooling, equipment, and outsourced services — from initial request through supplier selection, quoting, PO creation, shipment tracking, and final receipt confirmation.
- Partner closely with Engineering Leads and the AIT Engineer to anticipate upcoming purchasing needs tied to design releases, build plans, and test schedules. Maintain clear procurement timelines aligned with program milestones and proactively flag lead‑time risks.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for flight‑critical and development components, balancing cost, quality, and schedule while highlighting sole‑source dependencies to the VP of Operations.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery commitments, and commercial terms.



Secure production slots with key vendors ahead of major builds and maintain active follow‑up on every promised delivery.
- Drive delivery recovery efforts when timelines slip — escalate within supplier organizations, obtain updated commitments, and keep program stakeholders informed until hardware is in hand.
- Resolve supplier challenges across quality, invoicing, and delivery performance, ensuring issues are closed out effectively and escalating when responses fall short.

Minimum Requirements

- A minimum of 4 years of work experience working in a Logistics, Purchasing or Supply Chain role, while being directly employed with an aerospace, automotive, offroad or similar manufacturing experience.
- Experience purchasing raw materials or engineered components
