As a Healthcare Aide (HCA), your primary responsibilities will include meeting resident needs in personal care, nutrition, and mobility. You will foster positive relationships and work collaboratively to implement resident-centered care aligned with Donwood’s mission and values. Familiarity with the German Mennonite culture is a valuable asset in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver personal care promoting cleanliness and skin integrity
• Assist residents with meeting their nutritional needs
• Facilitate elimination of body wastes
• Support residents in ambulation and positioning
• Participate in resident care planning and evaluation
Requirements:
• Completion of recognized HCA Course
• Prior experience in long-term care is an asset
• Proven skills in team collaboration
• Ability to manage fluctuating workloads
• Proficiency in a second language is a plus
