As a Mental Health Support Worker, your primary responsibilities will involve assessing and addressing client needs while facilitating their journey toward recovery. You will collaborate closely with other staff to ensure a secure environment, provide emotional support during crises, and assist with referrals to essential services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Triage new client intakes with a focus on safety
• Build trust through brief client interactions
• Respond promptly to mental health crises and monitor clients
• Participate in daily team debriefs and summaries
• Maintain a clean and safe shelter environment through housekeeping tasks
Requirements:
• Diploma in Mental Health, Addictions, or equivalent experience
• Valid certification in First Aid/CPR
• Ability to handle crises calmly and effectively
• Excellent communication skills required
• Clean Drivers Abstract for client transport
