Expected Salary Range : $109832 - $137290 Annually

Target Variable Performance Pay : 10%

The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. For positions covered by a collective agreement, placement within the range will follow the applicable step or classification.

The Senior Consultant, Strategy and Risk leads complex, high-impact corporate strategy and enterprise risk management initiatives that support Toronto Hydro's strategic priorities. Serving as a senior project manager, the incumbent leads projects from concept through execution, establishing governance, timelines, deliverables, stakeholder engagement plans, and success measures. Leveraging strong project management practices and analytical expertise, the Senior Consultant partners with leaders to deliver strategic outcomes, facilitate enterprise risk discussions, and develop actionable recommendations that support executive- and Board-level decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Leads strategic planning and risk analysis, including the preparation of presentations, materials, and follow‑up actions in support of the Executive Team and the Board of Director meetings, ensuring alignment to organizational priorities

Acts as a senior project manager to drive high impact strategic initiatives and enterprise risk priorities, applying strong facilitation and planning skills to support execution and alignment with corporate objectives

Leads complex strategic assessments, evaluates potential courses of action, and develops recommendations to address business challenges and opportunities

Synthesizes findings into clear, actionable reports and presentations for senior leaders and the Board, supporting both corporate strategy development and enterprise risk planning





Builds and maintains strategic relationships across the organization to support collaboration, alignment, and integration of enterprise risk and corporate strategic initiatives

Leads strategic and enterprise risk management initiatives by developing charters, roadmaps facilitating status reporting and dashboards, consolidating updates for leaders, and supporting projects in establishing risk management frameworks including designing and operationalizing risk assessment criteria, key risk indicators, and assessing risk exposure and performance

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field

Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive experience leading end-to-end delivery of complex, cross‑functional projects or initiatives in strategy, enterprise risk, transformation, or similar corporate environments

Strong project leadership skills, with proven ability to define scope and governance, navigate ambiguity, and deliver strategic initiatives that support executive and Board-level decision‑making

Advanced problem‑solving skills to structure ambiguous issues, evaluate options and trade‑offs, and develop clear, actionable recommendations

Proven leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to facilitate senior‑level discussions and drive alignment across functions and stakeholders

Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to build credibility with senior leaders and stakeholders, and translate complex issues into clear, decision‑ready insights

Experience with electrical utility or other highly regulated industries preferred





Post‑graduate education and/or relevant professional certification in Business or Public Administration (e.g., MBA, MPA, PMP, P.Eng.) is an asset

Knowledge of enterprise risk management concepts and practices is an asset

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to consult and facilitate executive discussions with senior leaders and develop Board‑level materials

Advanced proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
