Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrician with expertise in Industrial Automation to join their team in Kimberley . This role is critical for ensuring the reliable operation and efficient maintenance of sophisticated automated systems and electrical infrastructure within their production facility. You will be responsible for diagnosing complex electrical and automation issues, performing intricate repairs, and implementing upgrades to enhance system performance and safety. Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, control panels, and automation equipment (e.g., PLCs, VFDs, HMI).
- Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and automation logic diagrams.
- Perform diagnostics on automated machinery to identify faults and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical and automation systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.




- Ensure all electrical work and installations comply with relevant safety standards and regulations (e.g., SANS).
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.

Requirements

- Qualified Electrician with a valid trade test certificate (e.g., Wireman's License).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, with a robust focus on automation systems.
- Proven experience with PLC programming/troubleshooting, VFDs, and HMIs.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems and electrical safety principles.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
