This temporary role begins September 1, 2026, and ends December 18, 2026. The selected candidate must hold BC Certification and a Bachelor of Education focusing on Inclusive Education. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in strategies for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess students’ diverse learning needs and develop IEPs • Support and supervise Educational Assistants in the classroom • Create inclusive lesson plans and adapt curriculum materials • Conduct assessments and interpret results effectively • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community resources
Requirements: • BC Certification in Education • Experience in Inclusive Education at the elementary level • Knowledge of mental health issues and teaching strategies • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and assistive software • Excellent communication and organizational skills
