About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with specialization in Water and Wastewater Systems for a fully remote position. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to critical water infrastructure projects from anywhere, collaborating with a global team. You will be responsible for the design, planning, and analysis of water treatment plants, distribution networks, sewage collection systems, and wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, adept at digital collaboration, and passionate about sustainable water management solutions, making a significant impact on public health and environmental protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop water supply, distribution, and treatment systems, as well as wastewater collection and treatment facilities.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis for water networks and sewer systems to optimize performance and capacity.
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate virtually with project managers, environmental scientists, and other engineers across different locations.
- Conduct site feasibility studies and preliminary assessments, leveraging remote sensing and data analysis tools where applicable.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant environmental regulations, water quality standards, and health codes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in the design and management of water and wastewater systems .
- Proven experience with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, SWMM) and CAD software.
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes, wastewater treatment technologies, and pipeline design.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
- Familiarity with sustainable water management practices and green infrastructure solutions.
