VISST, Vancouver’s first dedicated STEM high school, is looking for a part time School Counsellor for the 2026-27 academic year. This short term position involves several responsibilities, including direct counselling sessions, parent communication, and administrative tasks.

Ideal applicants will demonstrate warmth, clear communication, and clinical expertise in their field.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with students
- Liaise with parents to support student needs
- Collaborate with school staff to enhance teaching practices
- Manage some general administrative work
- Foster a positive and supportive school workplace

Requirements:

- Post-secondary training in counselling or psychology
- Experience as a school counsellor preferred
- Registered clinical counsellor status is a plus
- Strong connection-building with students
- Teamwork skills and openness to feedback
