UBC seeks a skilled Electrician for afternoon shifts in Vancouver, BC. Contribute your expertise in electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting to enhance our facilities' efficiency.

This role involves performing various electrical tasks, including preventive maintenance and installations, under the guidance of the Head Electrician. Candidates must have a Red Seal Electrician certification and five years of pertinent experience. You will troubleshoot complex electrical issues, ensuring safety compliance while working across the university campus.

Key Responsibilities: • Assemble and maintain electrical wiring and components • Diagnose problems in electrical distribution systems • Inspect equipment for safety compliance and defects • Install and repair control systems, including HVAC • Troubleshoot automated and robotic systems

Requirements: • Red Seal or Industrial Electrician certification • Valid class 5 BC driver’s license • Minimum five years related work experience • Robust computer skills, capable of learning new technologies • Commitment to equity and diversity in the workplace
