Transform lives as a Black Student Transition Specialist at Brock University. You will play a crucial role in guiding Black youth through significant educational, career, and personal transitions.
This fixed-term position reports to the Manager of the Black Student Success Centre, where you will create empowering programming for Black NEET youth. This role focuses on offering personalized support while enhancing students' preparedness for life after graduation, ensuring strong connections with community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and address barriers impacting educational success
• Refer students to appropriate campus and community services
• Collaborate in research and assessment initiatives
• Offer personalized transition plans for incoming and graduating students
• Manage and facilitate workshops and events
Requirements:
• Experienced in student support and community engagement
• Knowledge of anti-racist and trauma-informed practices
• Proven ability to develop engaging programming
• Solid organizational and communication skills
• Flexibility to work outside of business hours
