About the Role Our client is seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior Civil Site Engineer to lead critical site operations for major infrastructure projects in East London . This role is central to ensuring that all civil engineering works are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, including planning, coordination, and problem-solving to overcome construction challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, and a proven ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively within the demanding construction workplace of the Eastern Cape .
Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all on-site civil engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
Implement and enforce rigorous health and safety protocols on the construction site.
Monitor project progress, quality control, and ensure work is executed according to design drawings and technical requirements.
Coordinate the activities of subcontractors, direct labor, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow.




Resolve on-site technical issues and propose practical solutions to keep the project on schedule.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, material usage, and quality checks.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant civil engineering technologies .
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with infrastructure projects in East London or the surrounding regions is highly desirable.
