About the Role Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Corporate Governance Consultant to provide expert advice and support to businesses across various sectors, operating remotely. This role focuses on ensuring companies uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance. You will assess existing governance structures, develop frameworks, and advise on best practices related to board effectiveness, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for a governance expert to work flexibly from anywhere and influence corporate behavior and accountability in the Northern Cape region and beyond.
Key Responsibilities Assess and advise on corporate governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Develop and implement best practices for board composition, duties, and performance.
Advise on regulatory compliance, including King IV principles and company law.
Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies aligned with governance principles.
Provide guidance on stakeholder engagement and corporate social responsibility initiatives.




Deliver training and workshops on corporate governance to board members and management.
Requirements Relevant degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate governance, risk management, or compliance.
In-depth knowledge of corporate governance codes (e.g., King IV) and company law.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent report-writing abilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple consulting engagements remotely.
