Become an English and Social Studies Teacher at Sparwood Secondary School, serving grades 7-10. This part time role is ideal for educators passionate about shaping young minds in a vibrant learning environment.

This temporary (0.857 FTE) position is set to start on September 9, 2026, until June 25, 2027. Candidates must hold degrees and teaching experience in History and English for Secondary education. You will teach classes including English 7, English 8, and Social Studies, fostering student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate English and Social Studies curricula for multiple grades
• Create engaging, student-centered lesson plans
• Monitor and report on student performance
• Employ diverse pedagogical techniques for all learners
• Work with fellow educators to enhance curriculum delivery

Requirements:
• Preference for candidates with BC Teacher Certification
• Degree in English or History required
• Previous teaching experience at Secondary level
• Must teach onsite as needed
• Complete Criminal Records Review Act requirements
