Key Responsibilities

Complete behavioural assessments and plan treatment strategies in conjunction with team members, under the supervision of staff psychologists.

Develop and implement positive behaviour support plans for referred individual clients.

Monitor management of positive behaviour supports plans and collect data to document clients’ progress.

Coordinate and monitor service delivery and assist in the development and delivery of training sessions on behaviour modification for clients, staff and community partners.

Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.

Provide Education to community partners about behaviour management and principles of behaviour modification.

Other duties may reasonably be assigned.

Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal.

Qualifications





Post graduate diploma or degree from a recognized college or university such as a diploma in Behaviour Analysis or a related field. i.e. Behavioural Science Technology (3 years advanced), or a related undergraduate degree with emphasis on applied behavior analysis.

Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge in the field of developmental disabilities, mental illness and behavioural analysis.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a qualified multi-disciplinary team environment.

Previous experience in a community setting is considered an asset.

Experience in facilitation of group/individual counselling and experience in staff training/education is considered an asset.

Knowledge of consultation model.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Valid class G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Language Requirements
English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, comprehension, reading and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset
