About the Role Our client is seeking a seasoned Information Security Consultant for a contract position based in Kimberley, with a hybrid work arrangement. You will be tasked with assessing and enhancing the organization's security posture through expert advice and implementation of best practices. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards. It's an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant to apply their expertise in a challenging and impactful engagement.
Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and gap analyses.
Develop and recommend strategic and tactical security improvements.
Assist in the implementation of security controls and technologies.
Provide expert advice on cybersecurity best practices, policies, and procedures.
Support incident response planning and execution.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management on security findings and recommendations.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in information security consulting or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF) and regulatory requirements.
Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing, and threat modeling.
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage client relationships effectively.
