About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with specialized expertise in water and sanitation infrastructure to join their team in a fully remote capacity . You will lead the design, planning, and implementation of complex water supply, wastewater treatment, and reticulation projects across South Africa. This role requires a deep understanding of water resource management, hydraulics, and sustainable infrastructure solutions, offering immense flexibility and the prospect to make a substantial impact on public health and environmental sustainability nationwide, working collaboratively with distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of water supply systems, including treatment plants, reservoirs, and pumping stations.
Manage the design of wastewater collection networks, treatment facilities, and effluent disposal systems.
Perform detailed hydraulic modeling and analysis for water distribution and sewer networks.
Ensure designs comply with national and international water quality standards and environmental regulations.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and tender documentation.




Provide expert technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders remotely.
Requirements Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering , with a specialization in water and sanitation infrastructure.
Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
Advanced proficiency in water and wastewater modeling software (e.g., EPANET, SWMM, InfoWorks).
Extensive knowledge of water treatment processes , sanitation technologies, and pipeline design.
Experience in project management, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, suited for a remote environment.
