Join the City of London's Environment and Infrastructure division as a full-time Forestry Inspector. Use your arboriculture skills to oversee tree planting, inspections, and contract administration.
This full time temporary role, lasting up to two years, requires a Forestry Technician diploma or equivalent. You will perform tree risk assessments, monitor contracts, and ensure compliance with city policies regarding tree management. Your expertise in forestry practices will greatly contribute to maintaining London’s urban forestry goals and environmental health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform tree inspections using industry assessment methods
• Review tree planting operations in new subdivisions
• Monitor contractor compliance with tree-related requirements
• Update the City’s tree inventory and data systems
• Arrange and document soil testing for planting operations
Requirements:
• Two-year College diploma in Forestry, Arboriculture, or equivalent
• Minimum two years of related forestry experience
• Valid ISA Certified Arborist certification
• Valid Class G Driver's license
• Ability to use computerized data entry systems
