Join our dedicated Cardiac Anesthesia Division at Kelowna General Hospital as a locum physician. This role focuses primarily on caring for post-operative cardiac surgery patients in our specialized unit.

This locum position in the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit offers an exciting opportunity for physicians with a background in cardiac critical care. You will enhance our team's efforts to deliver premium care in a supportive environment as we manage an increasing number of surgeries. Your contributions will have a direct impact on patient outcomes and the educational experience of medical trainees.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support management in a 6-bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit
• Handle short-term mechanical support including ECMO and VAD




• Assist in TAVI support and consultations for surgery
• Participate in departmental teaching and training initiatives
• Manage acute pain services and sedation beyond the OR

Requirements:
• Fellowship training in Anesthesiology
• Certification in TEE from the relevant board
• Experience in post-cardiac surgery care
• Capability to undertake diverse medical specialties on-call
• Solid collaborative spirit with a focus on excellence
