About the Role Our client is seeking a seasoned Mining Project Manager to lead significant development and operational projects within the mining sector in the Kimberley area. This role is crucial for driving efficiency, safety, and sustainability in mining operations. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from exploration and feasibility studies through to mine development and operational optimisation, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and environmental standards. The role involves a hybrid work arrangement, requiring on-site presence at mine locations while allowing for remote coordination and reporting from Kimberley .
Key Responsibilities Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of mining projects, including exploration, development, and operational improvements.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource requirements specific to mining operations.
Ensure strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations within the mining sector.
Manage contracts, procurement, and relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
Lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams,



fostering a culture of safety and high performance.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies in a complex operational environment.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the mining industry.
Proven track record of successfully managing mining development projects.
Strong knowledge of mining operations, exploration techniques, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting , with regular site visits and operational presence in the Northern Cape region around Kimberley .
