About the Role Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Rugby Development Officer to drive the growth and improve the standard of rugby within the Kimberley region. This vital role involves implementing development programs, coaching initiatives, and talent identification strategies at grassroots and community levels. You will work closely with schools, clubs, and local rugby unions to foster a love for the game and develop the next generation of players and coaches. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of rugby, excellent community engagement skills, and a proven ability to inspire and develop talent.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans for rugby development in the designated region.
Organize and deliver coaching clinics, workshops, and training camps for players and coaches.
Identify and nurture talented young players, providing pathways for progression.
Promote rugby participation across all age groups and genders, fostering inclusivity.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local rugby clubs, schools, and community stakeholders.




Monitor the progress of development programs and provide regular reports to the governing body.
Ensure adherence to best practices in player welfare and safety.
Requirements Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., World Rugby Level 2 or 3).
Minimum of 4 years of experience in rugby development or coaching at a community or regional level.
In-depth knowledge of rugby rules, tactics, and coaching methodologies.
Solid community engagement and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
