Empower individuals at Canucks Autism Network as a Swim Coach! This dynamic position prioritizes inclusive programming, skill development, and participant engagement across the Fraser Valley region.
As a Swim Coach, you will lead swimming lessons designed for children and youth on the autism spectrum. Your responsibilities include tailoring lesson plans, managing program logistics, and providing mentorship to Support Workers and Volunteers. You can expect a team-oriented environment where fostering participant growth is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver lesson plans for skill development
• Adapt coaching methods for diverse abilities and needs
• Ensure smooth session operations and participant engagement
• Support and guide fellow staff during activities
• Assess participant skills through observations and report writing
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of coaching experience in recreational settings
• Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification required
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification
• Ability to navigate all pool depths
• Provide references and pass a criminal record check
