This role requires hands-on support from a Rehabilitation Assistant to help seniors regain independence through various rehabilitative activities. You will work closely with Registered Nurses and Therapists, fostering an engaging and caring environment for residents. Candidates must possess both communication and organizational skills to succeed in this impactful position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents in prescribed mobility and strengthening exercises
• Aid in dressing and toileting needs through rehabilitation
• Transport residents to essential programs and services
• Communicate residents’ behavior and progress to health staff
• Organize and maintain therapeutic equipment and supplies
Requirements:
• One year recent experience or equivalent training
• Solid communication in written and verbal forms
• Capability to assist with dementia care
• Organizational proficiency and physical stamina
• Valid Criminal Records Check and tuberculosis screening
