Elevate your legal career as a Litigator with the Government of Yukon in Whitehorse, YT. This full-time, term position provides you the opportunity to impact legal practices within the Justice – Litigation Group.

This role requires experienced candidates to serve as Legal Counsel focused on litigation efforts. As a vital part of the team, you'll engage in both litigator and solicitor work, ensuring justice delivery for Yukoners. You will play a significant role in the reconciliation with Yukon First Nations and contribute to creating a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide litigative legal advice and representation
• Handle cases both as a litigator and solicitor
• Collaborate within the Legal Services Branch team




• Address immediate legal inquiries and needs
• Participate in initiatives promoting reconciliation with First Nations

Requirements:
• Experience in litigative law practices
• Membership in valuable standing with the Law Society of Yukon
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Willingness to occasionally travel
