Ideal Gear & Machine Works is seeking an experienced Gear Technician located in Delta, British Columbia. This role involves operating CNC gear-grinding machinery to create high-quality gear components.

As a part of Boundary Mining Group, this position enables you to work in a stable, innovative setting. You will be responsible for grinding gear teeth with precision, using advanced measuring technologies to ensure compliance with strict tolerances. Collaborating closely with the Shop Supervisor and Quality team, your craftsmanship will play a critical role in our manufacturing success.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and set up CNC grinding equipment
• Assess job travelers and technical specifications
• Grind gear teeth to precise requirements




• Adjust machinery for optimal performance
• Maintain proper production documentation

Requirements:
• At least five years of gear-manufacturing experience
• Proficiency with CNC gear-grinding equipment
• Mechanical understanding of gearing principles
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
• Certification in relevant machining trades is a plus
