Support patient-centered care as a Service Worker I in the Emergency unit at U of A Hospital. This role focuses on transporting patients and ensuring equipment cleanliness for optimized care delivery.

As part of Alberta Health Services, this part-time position offers an prospect to assist patients and healthcare staff. Your role will involve managing supplies, ensuring areas are clean, and assisting in the transport of specimens. Reporting issues to Unit Managers will also be part of your daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Transport patients and medical equipment throughout the hospital
• Replenish supplies across the Emergency unit
• Maintain cleanliness of patient care areas
• Handle transport of lab items and charts
• Notify Unit Managers of any safety concerns

Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Basic Life Support certification required
• Minimum one year experience in a related role
• Ability to physically manage equipment and lifting
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
