The City is hiring two Bylaw Enforcement Officers to enhance its Bylaw Services team. You will leverage your skills in inspection, investigation, and regulatory compliance, addressing issues from noise to property use. Through education and relationship building, you will help the community understand and adhere to bylaws, contributing to a safer and more vibrant urban atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle investigation and resolution of bylaw-related complaints
• Conduct both complaint-based and proactive inspections
• Develop strategies for legal documentation and proceedings
• Provide guidance and support for public inquiries
• Draft and amend bylaws and relevant documents
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 with relevant enforcement training
• Knowledge of municipal bylaws and regulations
• Robust organizational and communication skills
• Experience with vulnerable populations preferred
• Ability to work non-standard hours as needed
