Join CHEO in Ottawa as a Respite Worker supporting children with complex mental health needs. Engage with a dedicated team to provide essential care and programming.

This position at CHEO involves assisting in a multidisciplinary setting to support children and youth facing behavioural and medical challenges. Candidates must possess relevant experience and skills in behaviour management and physical care, focusing on supporting children's achievement of their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and participate in goal-oriented programmings
• Provide necessary physical assistance to clients
• Maintain program rules and boundaries clearly
• Manage challenging behaviours under team direction
• Foster positive engagement and behaviour encouragement

Requirements:
• Diploma in Developmental Service Worker or equivalent
• Minimum 1-year experience with children with disabilities
• Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
• CPR-C and Standard First Aid certifications
• Experience in behaviour management strategies
