Key Responsibilities Underwrite commercial insurance applications, assessing risks associated with businesses across various industries.
Determine policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and pricing for commercial risks.
Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and agents to secure profitable business.
Analyze financial statements, loss history, and other relevant data to make informed underwriting decisions.




Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, company philosophy, and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced underwriters.
Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting .
Demonstrated expertise in underwriting various commercial lines of business (e.g., General Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation).
Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
Excellent understanding of commercial insurance markets and products.
Proven ability to manage a complex book of business remotely.
Relevant skilled designations (e.g., AU, CIC) are highly desirable.
