Join Western University as the Assistant Coach for Strength & Conditioning, focusing on athlete performance and wellness. This fully in-person role brings a chance to innovate and collaborate in elite sports.
In this position, you'll report to the Director of Sport and work closely with varsity coaches and health specialists. Your primary focus will be to develop comprehensive strength and conditioning programs that enhance athletic performance and minimize injury risk. This critical role promotes long-term athlete development across various sports disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create tailored strength and conditioning programs
• Assist in return-to-play programming
• Monitor and support athlete performance metrics
• Educate athletes on effective training practices
• Maintain high-performance training facilities
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Sport Management
• NSCA CSCS certification or equivalent
• 1-3 years of relevant coaching experience
• Certification in First Aid/CPR
• Proven background in high-performance athletics
