Become a vital part of the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services team as a Community Nurse in Surrey, BC. This hybrid role focuses on providing essential mental health care for adolescents facing legal issues.
As a Community Nurse, you will interact closely with adolescents experiencing mental health challenges, acting as a case manager or primary nursing therapist. You'll be integral to a collaborative environment, offering counseling and working on treatment plans while preparing reports related to assessments. This role grants you clinical independence in addressing complex health concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer counseling and treatment to youth in crisis
• Prepare reports detailing treatment and assessments
• Collaborate with probation and community agencies
• Manage clinical resources and coordinate care
• Work within a supportive team setting to enhance adolescent health
Requirements:
• Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing required
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
• Must be licensed with the BCCNM in BC
• Preference given to those with adolescent experience in mental health
• Must pass a criminal record check
