Join Seabird Island in a rewarding role as a Speech and Language Assistant, aiding children's communication growth and cognitive development. This position emphasizes culturally informed practices.

As a Speech and Language Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Speech and Language Pathologist to implement individualized therapy plans. Support for children will be provided through one-on-one sessions and small groups while preparing necessary materials and tracking performance during interventions. Your work will foster child-centered approaches to early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver individual therapy sessions to promote communication
• Document children's participation and progress during interventions
• Prepare visual materials for both clinic and home use




• Assist in program evaluation and data collection
• Schedule services and maintain accurate records

Requirements:
• Diploma in Speech and Language Assistant or related fields
• 1-2 years relevant experience in educational or clinical settings
• Proven ability to modify plans based on children's needs
• Solid relationship-building skills with children and families
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license
