Pay: CA$55,000.00 – CA$60,000.00 per year

Our fleet is based in Whitecourt, Alberta and from this location we provide bulk chip hauling, LTL freight and oilfield hauling throughout north/central Alberta. The Opportunity Safety Administrator When you join our team as a Safety Administrator, you will be responsible for providing general office support as well as data control and organization of safety related documentation and activities. You will play a supporting role in promoting and ensuring compliance with our health and safety program. As well and will make meaningful contributions toward our efforts to create the best employment experience for our staff.
Responsibilities Safety Administration Provide clerical and administrative services for multiple divisions and the Joint Health and Safety Committee
Perform administrative duties related to employee onboarding, offboarding, training and orientation, health and safety documentation, safety performance tracking, and hazard and incident reporting
Assist with customer specific orientations and participate in required customer safety meetings and audit exercises
Build and maintain documents and forms as required. Manage safety and training databases and filing systems, and communicate regularly with teams through established project management platforms and safety compliance management platforms
Fulfill permit and facility applications and maintain records that satisfy all COR,
National Safety Code, and provincial safety requirements
Update and upload safety performance statistics to various online portals such as ISN, Comply works, and Avetta
Provide clerical support for WCB communications and facilitation of gradual return to work programs for injured workers
Support field managers in the creation and delivery of safety training materials, videos, policy updates, hazard identifications, and safety meeting presentations
Employee Experience Assist with the delivery and promotion of special programs and awards including scholarships, employee contest prizes, performance bonuses, and years of service awards
Assist with the planning and coordination of staff lunches and parties, safety picnics, Christmas parties, golf tournaments, volunteer activities, and community events
You are energetic, you thrive in a team environment, you have a willingness to to learn, and you have a desire to build a career in safety
You have a great organizational skills and and a proven ability to handle multiple projects, high stress situations, and process high volumes work and meet deadlines
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
You have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and you are comfortable learning current software and utilizing a variety of online tools and platforms
