MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Previous commercial farming management experience
Practical knowledge of crop and livestock production
Strong leadership and people-management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
Zulu-speaking ability will be advantageous
Valid drivers licence
Basic computer literacy and sound record-keeping skills
Strong organisational and administrative abilities
Hard-working, reliable and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends when required
Valuable problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee and manage all day-to-day farm activities and operations
Lead, manage and motivate farm staff and teams




Manage crop production including seed potatoes, maize, soya and cabbages
Oversee livestock management and general animal husbandry
Plan and manage irrigation schedules and water usage
Coordinate and manage crop spraying schedules and applications
Maintain accurate financial, operational and administrative records
Monitor farm inputs, stock, equipment and general resources
Identify operational problems and implement practical solutions
Ensure work is carried out efficiently, safely and to the required standards
