Key Responsibilities Document patient interactions in accordance with ROHCG health care records practices and policies.
Assist in daily home/unit activities, including patient counts, meal supervision, refreshments, and other activities as directed by the interdisciplinary team.
Monitor inventory and coordinate supply reordering.
Support environmental safety, equipment maintenance inspections, infection control practices, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Transport/porter patients, supplies, equipment, mail, requisitions, specimens, and other items.
Maintain the tidiness, cleanliness, and safety of patient care areas.
Supervise and monitor patient movement within the home/unit and in the community.
Support patients with daily living activities, meal supervision, social and leisure activities, and other assigned tasks.
Assess and report patient interactions and share responsibility with the team for patient care and maintaining a safe setting.
Participate in program evaluations, discharge planning, implementation of discharge plans,



and assist residents with discharge-related applications.
Qualifications Minimum 1 year post-secondary diploma or certification in health related field.
Knowledge of infection control principles and use of personal protective equipment.
Ability to participate as a member of a multidisciplinary clinical team and function well in a team oriented climate.
Perform clinical work functions that support the provision of patient and family focused care.
Certified in CPR and First Aid.
Possess a valid G driver’s license.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a professional multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Safety and Security in the Workplace Training (candidate must agree to complete prior to start date if this qualification is not met).
Language Requirements English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, comprehension, reading and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset
