Extendicare is hiring a dedicated Health Care Aide at our Viking Home in Alberta, focusing on enriching the lives of our residents. This role offers evening and daytime shifts for part-time work.

As a Health Care Aide, you'll play an instrumental role in the day-to-day care of seniors, assisting them with personal care, meal preparation, and monitoring their health conditions. You are expected to foster a safe and welcoming environment while upholding Extendicare’s commitment to dignity and respect in care. Your skills will make a difference in the lives of vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support residents with personal hygiene and daily living
• Report any changes in resident conditions to supervisors




• Facilitate secure moving and transportation of residents
• Plan and execute meal preparation as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and address resident concerns

Requirements:
• Registration with CLHA required
• Graduate from a Health Care Aide program
• Experience in senior care settings necessary
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check
