Early Childhood Worker
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Woodland Wellness Centre is now accepting applications to fill the following Permanent Part time position based out of the Administration Department in La Ronge, SK :
1 – Part-Time, 1 – Casual
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Ensure Children’s safety, development and well-being is implemented;
Create and implement personalised learning plans to cater unique needs and interests of each child;
Provide well-balanced meals and assist with serving snack and lunch;
Ensure that daily reports & journals are recorded on daily basis and are well-aware of the Staff and parent handbook;
Ensure that children daily activities are stimulating, enriching and holistic in nature for the well-being of the child
Incorporate diverse Woodland Cree Cultural perspectives and traditions into the daily activities to promote learning of Woodland Cree Culture
Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness at all times.
Ensure the LLRIB Personnel Policy Manual is adhered to;
Actively supervise and interact with children attending the program;
Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent and Early Childhood Education - Level 1 is required
1-2 years of experience in similar role is highly preferred.
Combination of education and experience in childcare setting will be considered.
Possession of First Aid, CPR, and Food Handler’s certificate is preferred
Mature, responsible, and punctual;
Capacity to demonstrate a caring attitude;
Patient, caring, loving, compassionate, and enjoy working with children;
Ability to maintain confidentiality;
Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check, & Driver’s Abstract.
