Help youth thrive as a Child and Youth Care Counsellor at Hull Services. This full-time role focuses on supporting children aged 9 to 13 in a trauma-informed setting.
Hull Services is seeking a Child and Youth Care Counsellor to join its Mountainside Program. You’ll work in an interdisciplinary team, implementing evidence-based treatment methodologies. Daily responsibilities include monitoring needs and promoting emotional well-being in a structured environment while engaging with families and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend to the physical and developmental needs of children
• Implement behavioral interventions and communication strategies
• Organize daily living activities as learning opportunities
• Plan recreational activities to foster social skills
• Advocate for children's rights and represent their interests
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care Counselling
• Experience in therapeutic or congregate care settings
• Transparent police checks and child intervention record
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
• Familiarity with First Aid and crisis intervention methodologies
