Provide essential nursing care at AgeCare as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN). Engage with residents and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care delivery.
As a Registered Practical Nurse at AgeCare, you will use your expertise in geriatric and long-term care nursing to support resident health, alongside Personal Support Workers. You’ll implement policies, coordinate with healthcare teams, and ensure vital communications regarding residents’ conditions. Expect to make a positive impact on patients' lives in a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement AgeCare policies in collaboration with the Registered Nurse
• Liaise with healthcare professionals and external partners
• Notify physicians of any significant changes in resident status
• Guide Personal Support Workers on proper care procedures
• Participate in shift reports with healthcare team members
Requirements:
• Knowledge in geriatric and rehabilitation nursing
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations
• Experience in long-term care settings
• Compassionate approach to resident care
