TFS is looking for a Toronto-based Instrument Repair Technician to work casually, focusing on the maintenance and repair of various musical instruments. Your skills in brass, string, and percussion repairs are essential for this role.

Working bi-monthly, you will be responsible for diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues under the guidance of the Senior School Music Teacher. Suitable for freelance technicians or students nearing completion of their studies, this role supports the vibrant music program at the Senior School.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, inspect, and repair band and string instruments
• Perform dent removal and structural repairs on instruments
• Conduct preventative maintenance for long-term use




• Document repairs and recommend necessary parts
• Assist in the maintenance of percussion instrumentation

Requirements:
• Experience in instrument repair and maintenance
• Knowledge of musical instrument construction
• Proficient in key adjustments and related techniques
• Robust problem-solving capabilities
• Enrollment in instrument repair program is advantageous
