Engage with youth positively as a Part Time Youth Program Instructor at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario in North Bay. Support after school activities while promoting health and inclusivity.
We are seeking a Youth Program Instructor who will work part time at our Silver Birches, Ferris Glen, and East Ferris After School Program sites. Candidates should possess the Ontario Secondary School Diploma and have experience leading group activities. You'll help create a safe workplace, implement activities, and communicate daily with participants and their guardians.
Key Responsibilities:
• Program, plan, and implement engaging activities
• Supervise and actively participate in activities with youth
• Apply behavior management techniques effectively
• Ensure safety for all participants, staff, and volunteers
• Maintain and request necessary supplies
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma preferred
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
• Experience in leading group activities required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector required
