About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and analytical Forensic Accountant to join their specialized investigation unit, serving the Kimberley region. This role is dedicated to uncovering financial fraud, irregularities, and misconduct through in-depth analysis and investigation. You will play a crucial role in litigation support, expert witness testimony, and the recovery of misappropriated assets. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement , providing flexibility while requiring presence for critical on-site investigations and client meetings.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct investigations into suspected financial fraud, embezzlement, and other financial crimes.
- Analyze complex financial data, transaction trails, and accounting records to identify anomalies.
- Prepare detailed forensic accounting reports, summarizing findings and supporting evidence.
- Assist legal counsel in litigation support, including gathering evidence and providing expert testimony.
- Quantify financial losses and assist in asset tracing and recovery efforts.




- Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CA(SA) with forensic accounting experience, or a specialized forensic qualification (e.g., CFE).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in forensic accounting or a related investigative field.
- Strong understanding of fraud schemes, investigation techniques, and legal procedures.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and accounting software.
