Our Ontario based client is seeking an experienced SAP Tax and Revenue Management (TRM) and Business Rule Framework (BRF) Consultant to join their project immediately and will run for 6 motnhs with a strong chance for extension. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in both TRM and BRF, along with a robust track record of multiple successful end-to-end project implementations. This will be a fully remote work setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up the core Tax and Revenue Management (TRM) master data including revenue types, tax categories, period keys, and form bundles to manage the end-to-end taxpayer journey from registration and return filing to assessments, billing, and refunds.
- Translate complex, frequently changing tax laws and regulations into executable business rules using BRF functions, decision tables, rule sets, and expressions to ensure accurate and automated tax determinations.
- Design BRF-driven validation rules and approval workflows for both form-based (e.g., income tax) and object-based (e.g., property tax) returns,



ensuring data integrity and enforcing statutory compliance before assessments are finalized.
- Oversee the technical and functional integration between TRM and the Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA) subledger, ensuring that billing, dunning, payment processing, collections, and refund disbursements are correctly triggered by BRF rules.
- Configure BRF rules to handle the complex logic of amended or corrected tax returns, including automatically reversing previous billing documents, recalculating liabilities, and generating new assessments without manual intervention.
- Utilize BRF's simulation and "lean trace" features to provide full visibility into how each rule reached its decision critical for audits, troubleshooting, and gaining taxpayer or regulatory confidence in the system's accuracy.
- Lead end-to-end testing of the TRM-BRF integration across the entire tax process, resolve defects, and conduct training sessions for business users and tax officers on how to maintain and update rules as legislation changes
