We are searching an ASIC verification engineer interested in developing world-class multimedia and compute solutions to build next generation mobile System-on-Chips (SoCs). Replacement PositionMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related work experience. OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.As a member of the team, your responsibilities include:
Work closely with design, architects, and verification leads to develop the multimedia and compute subsystem integration verification strategy and test planCreate verification setting using UVM/System VerilogResolve architecture, design, or verification problems by applying sound ASIC engineering practices with minimal supervisionWrite tests and regressions to identify any bugs in own work and helps more junior team members do the sameDevelop C reference modelInterpret the results of performance checks and identify issuesCommunicate directly with lead on any significant deviations from the Plan of Record for assigned block in a timely mannerPerform RTL code coverage, assertion coverage, functional coverage,



and gate level simulationsEmploy power aware verification technique to verify low power design featuresIdentify opportunity for productivity improvements. Drive and adopt new verification methodologies and flows for efficiency improvementsRequired Competencies
Ability to work legally in CanadaThorough understanding of Digital design conceptsStrong UVM, System Verilog skillsUnderstanding of Bus protocols like AHB/AXIPerl, python scripting experienceQuick understanding of Specs and Standards and developing relevant and thorough test plansExperienced in developing monitors, scoreboards, sequencers and sequences and various aspects of the UVM testbenchesCandidates should be comfortable checking builds, navigating test benches, analyzing coverage, and adding or enabling extra debugStrong communication skills and works well in a team environmentMinimum Qualifications

$108,000.00 - $158,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
