Job Summary

We are looking for a Tile Setter Helper to support our tile installation crews on residential and commercial construction projects. This position will assist Tile Setters with material preparation, jobsite organization, surface preparation, installation support, and cleanup.

The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and willing to learn the tile installation trade.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist Tile Setters with daily installation activities and jobsite preparation.
- Prepare, move, and organize tile, setting materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with measuring, cutting, mixing, and preparing materials as directed.
- Help with surface preparation, including cleaning, leveling, waterproofing, and preparation of installation areas.
- Assist with tile layout, installation, grouting, and finishing work.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the project.
- Load, unload, and safely handle construction materials and tools.
- Follow instructions from Tile Setters, and Supervisors.
- Follow company and site-specific health and safety procedures.
- Protect finished surfaces and maintain proper care of tools and equipment.
- Perform general construction and jobsite duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous construction, tile,



flooring, or general labour experience is an asset.
- Previous experience assisting a Tile Setter is an asset.
- Willingness to learn tile installation techniques and construction practices.
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible work attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
- Commitment to workplace safety and protected work practices.
- Basic hand tool knowledge is an asset.
- Ability to work in residential and commercial construction environments.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on construction position that requires working on active residential and commercial jobsites. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and following safety requirements at all times.

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
